Race Information

Package Pick Up:

Please note that bibs are NOT available outside of these times due to staffing/volunteers. Bibs will not be available prior to Friday as the bibs will not be delivered to the package pick up location (Tri It Multisport) by the printers until Friday morning.  

 

May 1st – Tri It Multisport (1703 10th Ave SW) from 10am – 7pm

 

May 2nd – Tri It Multisport (1703 10th Ave SW) from 10am – 2pm

May 3rd - start line from 7:30am - 8:30am (please note, for timing purposes you MUST pick up your package by 8:30am race morning)

Race Day:

Both the 21km and the 10km races starts at 9am SHARP!

Parking: parking is available right at Edworthy Park. The start line is next to the parking lot at the bottom of Shaganappi Trail and Bowness Road. Please carpool if possible as the parking at Edworthy will be BUSY!!!!!!!!!!

 

Bathrooms: There are 4 public bathrooms (2 mens’ and 2 women’s) right beside the start/finish line as well as porta potties. There will porta potties at the 5km/16km aid station, as well as at the aid station at the top of "SMASH THE HILL" (about 10.5km)

 

Gear Check: We will have an official gear check at the start/finish line.

 

Bibs: Your bib must be visible at all time on your FRONT while on course. Racers without visible numbers will be asked to asked to leave the course.

Timing: Official timing will be provided by Startline Timing. Timing is through a microchip on the back of your race bib.

 

Aid Stations: We will have Skratch at the start line, 5km, 10.5km, 16km and finish line. We will have Brix Pure Maple gels at the 10.5km aid station.

 

KM Markers: We will have kilometer markers along course.

Hill Prime: "SMASH THE HILL" is 9.5km into the race and is 1km long. The prime is from the bottom of “the hill” to the top of “the hill”. It will be clearly marked and there will be timing points at the bottom and at the top.

Music: because this is a completely closed course you MAY run with music. HOWEVER, you must run with earbuds and MAY NOT play music that is audible to other racers. If officials or volunteers catch you doing so you will be asked to leave the course.

 

Dogs: Dogs are allowed on course as long as they DO NOT interfere with other racers. Please position yourself accordingly at the start of the race as to not trip us other racers. You must also pick up after your dog and immediate disqualification will take place if those does not happen. We will be monitoring this closely.

 

Strollers: We are a stroller-friendly race course! Please be advised that on-course hydration and finish line cookies are for racers only.

Finish Line Cookies: will be completely dairy-free. They are not gluten free.

 

Awards: There will be age-group awards for the top 3 men and top 3 women in each the 10km and the 21.1km. Age categories are: under 19, 20 - 29, 30 – 39, 40 – 49, 50 – 59, 60+).

10km awards will be at 10:30am beside the finish line. 

21.1km awards will be at 11:15am beside the finish line. 

We will also award the top the fastest male and female on SMASH THE HILL and those will be at 11:30am beside the finish line.
